Augusta, Georgia, United States: In what may prove to be one of her final acts before turning professional, Korean Oh Soo-min fired a flawless final round 68 to claim third place in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA).

With a 54-hole aggregate of nine-under 207, the two-time Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific (WAAP) runner-up finished five shots behind triumphant Colombian Maria Jose Marin and one adrift of second-placed Spaniard Andrea Revuelta.

Among five players tied for fourth on 208 were Korean Yang Yun-seo, winner of the 2026 WAAP in New Zealand in February, and Australian Raegan Denton.

Of the other Asia-Pacific representatives who qualified for the final round at Augusta National, Thailand’s Achiraya Sriwong ended in a share of 11th place on 211 followed by Korean Kim Gyu-been (tied 15th, 212), China’s Liu Yujie, Japan’s Aira Nagasawa and Hong Kong, China’s Arianna Lau (all tied 19th, 214) and Japan’s Yurina Hiroyoshi and Korean Park Seo-jin (tied 27th, 216).

Oh, the joint first-round leader with Marin, followed up her opening 65 with a 74 at Champions Retreat and headed into the final day in a share of sixth place.

Rising to the challenge presented by Augusta National, Oh had the distinction of shooting the only bogey-free round of the day. On the front nine she made birdies at both of the par-fives – the second and eighth – before picking up further shots at the 11th and 16th.

Having missed the cut on her ANWA debut in 2025, Oh shot the joint best final round in 2026, matched by Marin, Revuelta, World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) number one Kiara Romero of the United States and Yang.

Like Oh, Yang covered the front nine in two-under 34. She dropped her only shot of the day at the par-four 11th, but bounced back brilliantly with successive birdies at 13, 14 and 15. Thanks to her WAAP success, Yang is now looking forward to appearances at three LPGA Majors in the coming months – the Chevron Championship in the United States, The Amundi Evian Championship in France and the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham & St Anne’s in England.

Denton also made three birdies on the trot, racing out of the starting blocks to make gains at the second, third and fourth. After a bogey at six, she added birdies at seven and eight to reach the turn in four-under 32. Her campaign ended with an inward 37.
