Cairo, Egypt: A nine-strong Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) contingent is seeking success at the 2025 Ladies and Junior Pan Arab Golf Championships.
Katameya Dunes and Madinaty Golf Club are the venues for the championships from May 8-10 which are being contested among six different divisions.
Sanctioned by the Arab Golf Federation, participants come from affiliated members and teams from Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
As is the case with all Pan Arab Golf Championships, teams of three will represent each country in each segment, with the two lowest scores counting each day. There will be winners for the Best Individual and Best Team.
The EGF has sent a team of nine players to compete in four of the categories.
Representing the UAE in the 16th Arab Ladies Championship are Intissar Rich, Sara Ali Abubaker and Hannah Cheryl Alan.
In the 24th Arab Championship for Juniors, Rashed Al Naqbi and Abdulla Kalbat are competing in the Under-18 Division while Abdulla Salmeen, Mohammed Tabet and Abdulla Darwish will line-up in the Under-16 Division.
Completing the EGF representation is Zayed Ali Abubaker who will be playing as an individual in the 5th Arab Championship for Under-13 Boys.
While the Under-13 tournaments are played over 36 holes, all other Divisions are made up of three rounds.
Travelling with the team are EGF Vice President General Abdullah Al-Hashmi, Secretary-General Kahlid Mubarak Al Shamsi and National Team Head Coach Faycal Serghini.
