Auckland, New Zealand: The 2026 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship (AAC), organised by the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC), the Masters Tournament and The R&A, is set to continue the event’s extensive broadcast coverage around the world.

Fans will be able to tune in to the 17th edition of the championship at Te Arai Links in New Zealand from October 29-November 1.

The AAC is the most widely distributed amateur golf event across the world. The championship broadcast includes three hours of live coverage (2 pm to 5 pm local time) on each of the four competition days.

International broadcasters include Sky NZ (New Zealand), ESPN (United States and Latin America), Fox Sports (Australia), iQIYI (China), Sky Sports (United Kingdom), SPOTV (Pan-Asia), SuperSport (Africa), TBS (Japan) and TSN (Canada).

The English-speaking commentary team will include Rich Lerner as host, Frank Nobilo as analyst, Paul Gow and Steve Burkowski as on-course reporters and Amanda Balionis conducting interviews.

In addition to broadcasters around the world, the entire broadcast will be simulcast on AACgolf.com, which will also feature unique video and editorial content throughout the championship.

The AAC, which aims to further develop golf in the Asia-Pacific region, was created in 2009 as a joint initiative between the Masters Tournament, The R&A and the APGC.

The champion will receive an invitation to the 2027 Masters Tournament and exemptions into The 155th Open at St Andrews and The 131st Amateur Championship at Royal Portrush.

Notable past competitors include Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama, a two-time winner of the AAC and the 2021 Masters champion, Australian Cameron Smith, champion of The 150th Open, and New Zealand’s Ryan Fox, champion of The 154th Open.

Other top players that have used the AAC as a springboard to a notable professional career include 2018 champion Takumi Kanaya and 2021 champion Keita Nakajima of Japan, Australians Cameron Davis and Min Woo Lee, Korean Kim Si-woo and Chinese Taipei’s CT Pan.

Collectively, alumni of the championship have gone on to win 33 tournaments on the PGA Tour to date and more than 160 events across major professional Tours.
