Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) has appointed Mirabel Ting as a Golf Ambassador, reinforcing the club’s commitment to supporting emerging talents and developing the next generation of world-class golfers.

Ting joins a distinguished line-up of ambassadors representing KLGCC across various sporting disciplines, reflecting the club’s dedication to nurturing elite athletes while inspiring young players who aspire to compete at the highest level.

Currently competing on the Epson Tour and the CLPG Tour, Ting has established herself as one of Malaysia’s most promising golfers. Among her impressive feats, she reached number two in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR).

At the start of 2025, she was a member of the Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) team that defeated a strong line-up from the European Golf Association in the Solheim Cup-style Patsy Hankins Trophy in the United Arab Emirates. Last year, she went on to win the Annika Award, recognising the top female collegiate golfer in the United States, and was named First Team All-American and WGCA Ping Player of the Year.

On the international stage, Ting recorded the best finish by a Malaysian at the 2024 Maybank Championship with a tied-12th result and made history at the 2024 Augusta National Women’s Amateur, becoming the first Malaysian to make the cut, finishing tied-eighth.

Mirabel Ting has been appointed a Golf Ambassador at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club.

Ting’s association with KLGCC began nearly a decade ago when she participated in the 2016 Sime Darby LPGA Development Programme, marking the start of a meaningful relationship with the club.

One of her fond memories at KLGCC includes participating in a night golf event alongside the club’s General Manager Adam Calver, an experience that reflects the welcoming community and unique experiences the club offers its players.

Ting said being named a KLGCC Ambassador represents a significant honour.

She said: “Being a KLGCC Ambassador means representing more than just a golf club – it means embodying the values, spirit and global reputation of Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, both on and off the course.

“I am deeply grateful for the continuous support provided by KLGCC in my development as both a golfer and an individual. The club has created an environment that encourages growth and excellence through access to world-class facilities, competitive opportunities and a strong support system. This support has played an important role in helping me refine my skills and compete at higher levels.”

She added that the club’s encouragement has instilled a strong sense of pride and responsibility in representing KLGCC wherever she competes.

As for her long-term aspirations, Ting said: “My goal is to continue improving and competing at the highest level with the ultimate ambition of becoming one of the best players in the world.”

Calver welcomed Ting to the club’s Ambassador programme.

He said: “Mirabel represents the future of Malaysian golf. Her discipline, achievements and global recognition already demonstrate her immense potential. At KLGCC, we are committed to providing an environment that supports high-performance athletes, and we believe our facilities, resources and community will continue to help Mirabel develop and pursue her goal of becoming one of the top golfers in the world.”
