Florida, United States: Two-time former Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship (AAC) participant Harrison Endycott has secured full playing rights on the 2024 PGA Tour.
The 27-year-old Australian fired a closing 67 at Dye’s Valley Course to win the PGA Tour’s Qualifying School with a four-day aggregate of 15-under-par 265, four strokes ahead of his closest challenger.
The Sydney professional spent 2023 on the Tour with some good results, but finished 129th on the Fedex Cup list and went back to Q-school having secured only conditional playing rights for 2024. He will now be able to play a full schedule.
“I’m very proud of myself,” Endycott told Golf Australia. “It’s funny, when you have a bit of a tough year, and you have conditional status, you kind of look at it a little bit like a disappointing year.
"But now with a win, what do I look at? Is it a good year or a tough year? There’s lots of positives. I’m looking forward to a fresh start to the season on Tour again.”
Endycott first represented Australia in the AAC in 2016, finishing in a share of 26th place at the Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea.
The following year he shared 10th place at New Zealand’s Royal Wellington Golf Club.
The top five finishers and ties at the PGA Tour Q-School graduated with PGA Tour cards. The next 40 finishers and ties (solo-sixth through tied 45th) are exempt for multiple reshuffles of the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season.
Among them are Japan’s Keita Nakajima, the 2021 AAC winner who topped the standings in the Japan Golf Tour’s 2023 Money List. At 90th in the Official World Golf Ranking, he was the top-rated player at the Q-School.
By finishing joint 45th there, he has secured guaranteed starts for the first eight events of the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour season.
